Privacy notice

Framework notice: this is a template prepared for Rochdale Schools Metro Football. The organisation should review it, add its data controller details and confirm retention periods before the site goes live.

Who we are

Rochdale Schools Metro Football ("we") organises schools football competitions. We are the data controller for the information described below. Contact: privacy@rsmf.example.org.

Information about pupils

We do not collect or publish any personal information about pupils: no names, photographs, dates of birth or contact details. Results and tables refer only to schools and their teams (e.g. "Year 8 Boys").

Information about school staff with accounts

• What we hold: name, work email address, the school(s) you administer, and a securely hashed password (we cannot read your password).
• Why: to let you sign in and submit results on behalf of your school (legitimate interests / public task of running the competitions).
• Activity records: we keep an audit log of significant actions (for example result submissions and corrections) with the account that made them, so that disputes can be resolved fairly.
• We never show account names or email addresses on the public website.
• Retention: accounts are deactivated when no longer needed; audit records are retained for the life of the competition records unless the organisation sets a shorter period.

School contact details

Schools may choose to publish organisational contact details (such as the school office phone number or website). These are not personal data about individuals.

Cookies

We use a single strictly necessary cookie to keep signed-in staff logged in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or object to its use. Contact privacy@rsmf.example.org. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
